These speakers are sold AS-IS. They are untested. I inspected each one carefully and see no reason that they would not work just fine, however. I would test them but my sound system requires 8 ohm speakers. You never want to connect lower ohm speakers to an amplifier that requires higher ohms, as it can damage your amplifier. So don't buy these and hook them up to your stereo to see what they sound like. Make sure you have a system rated 6 ohm or lower. They all have speaker wire attached to them but the lengths vary. You can easily connect new speaker wire if needed. Note also that surround sound systems often use proprietary or unusual speaker connections. These are just the wires like those seen in a standard stereo system. The four speakers appear identical. They are labelled on the back, however: front left, front right, rear left, rear right. These are for a surround sound system but this set lacks a center speaker or subwoofer. These are best as replacements or spares.
